    For receiving the FRQS Alice-Girard award for publication in French for her scientific article "Évaluation de l'impact des décharges épileptiformes infracliniques sur l'aptitude à la conduite automobile en neuropsychologie : une étude de cas" published in the Revue de neuropsychologie. This study was not directed by Dr. Mottron.

    The results highlight the importance of clinical expertise, avenues for frequent differential diagnoses, and the current issues clinicians go through during these assessments.

    Autism comorbidities show elevated female-to-male odds ratios and are associated with the age of first autism diagnosis 

    New article investigating autism comorbidity using the Danish National Patient Registry. The results indicate that females with autism have a higher risk of comorbidity than would be expected from sex-ratios in the general population, and that childhood comorbidity rates are strongly associated with the age at which autism is diagnosed.

    Pour la 1ère fois, les membres du Groupe de recherche en neurosciences cognitives et autisme de Montréal ont participé à une retraite scientifique afin d'encourager la collaboration, le travail d'équipe et de renforcer les contacts et les interactions entre les étudiants, post-doctorants et chercheurs du groupe. Une multitude d'ateliers ont permis aux étudiants de se familiariser sur les méthodologies en neurocognition, le comportement éthique en recherche avec les patients, les rédactions et demandes de bourse, etc. Une retraite qui chacun a appréciée et qui devrait être reprise l'an prochain.

    La jeune chercheuse étoile Valérie Courchesne de l'Université de Montréal en vedette dans le numéro de janvier de la revue Curium. Sa grande idée? Certains enfants #autistes sont considérés déficients, car ils ne peuvent se soumettre aux tests d’intelligence traditionnels. Qu’en est-il vraiment? Elle a mis au point une démarche sur mesure, afin de mieux comprendre et favoriser leur potentiel.

    The Transforming Autism Care Consortium (TACC) is pleased to launch its Autism Research Training Program and to welcome the first group of graduate students and postdoctoral fellows applicants for the 2018-2019 competition.

    The program aims to train outstanding graduate students and postdoctoral fellows and support their career development in autism research. Trainees will be enrolled for three years and the program includes a one year fellowship ($20,000/year (M.Sc. or Ph.D level) or $40,000/year (postdoc level)), attendance of a Annual Summer School as well as mentoring opportunities.
